OCR Services, Inc. Announces Launch of

Denied Party Screening Solution – DPSS 2004 for SAP R/3

Rockville, MD, December 10, 2003 – OCR Services, Inc. has announced the latest release of their industry standard Denied Party Screening System (DPSS) solution for use with SAP R/3 Version 4.0x, 4.5x, 4.6x and 4.7x.

This is a major enhancement over the previous versions. It provides more robust capabilities in the areas of audit trail tracking and reporting; reporting of “red-flags” and their disposition; enhancements to the ‘Soundex’ based fuzzy logic; performance and conformance with the Export Management System guidelines published by Bureau of Industry and Security for record keeping.

The DPSS for SAP solution helps companies comply with U.S. Government regulations banning commerce with “denied parties”. Denied, or “restricted’, parties are entities with which the government explicitly prohibits transactions. Across the various governmental agencies, there are tens of thousands of individuals, organizations, countries, vessels, property, etc. that have been restricted. Penalties for executing transactions with these parties or related businesses have recently been increased through passage of the USA PATRIOT Act.

The DPSS for SAP product is natively integrated with the R/3 system through RFC calls to an OCR DPSS server running on a separate machine. The solution uses native SAP technology and can be operational in the test environment within few weeks. The list of denied parties is automatically updated via a live link to OCR’s facilities on a daily basis.
