The Environmental Health Information Service Project is a publishing activity with concurrent publishing in both print and electronic media. The hard copy publications include a glossy full color scientific journal for the Environmental Health Sciences field and related publications including the Environmental Health Perspectives Supplements, Biennial Reports on Carcinogens, NTP Technical Report Series, and NTP Toxicity Report Series. The electronic version is a web site - http://ehis.niehs.nih.gov which includes the journal and associated information .

The total EHIS is a government sponsored turnkey service solution operated by OCR. Quality is critical to the success of service since it is in the market place competing with all other information sources. The quality of the Customer Service and assistance in obtaining information is just as high as these samples. The complete business management/customer service procedures and supporting database was developed by OCR staff and are in routine operation.
