Meet the OCR Management Team

Raj K. Boveja

Chief Executive Officer & President

More than three decades ago, Raj first transformed his deep insider's knowledge of industry practices and government regulation into OCR Services, Inc. Since then, he's leveraged his industry prowess to establish standards for software, web-based application tools, and information databases for international trade compliance. Today, Fortune 500 companies worldwide heavily rely on his innovations such as the Export Automation Software Essentials (EASE™) suite of products. OCR's strategic direction was inspired by his work with the U.S. Departments of Commerce, State and Treasury, where Raj consulted on the integration of software solutions for the international trade community.

Raj holds a Bachelor's Degree of Science from the State University of New York and a Masters in Business Administration from the George Washington University.

Rakesh Allahabadi, PhD

Vice President Operations and General Counsel

In 2000, Rakesh joined forces with OCR Services, Inc. as the Director of Business Development. He's a tested 20-year veteran in managing software engineering, client support, remote-site development, operations, business development, and sales teams. Rakesh launched his career at ABB Impell Corporation where he gained valuable expertise in quality assurance as well as consulting on projects worth over a million dollars. At MSC Software, he led the launch of MSC.NASTRAN, the respected engineering analysis software for the Aerospace and Auto sectors. Anticipating industry trends, he managed remote site development teams in Taiwan and India, as well as a high-performance distributed computing program funded by Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

Rakesh holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India. He also holds an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He received a J.D. from Concord Law School as valedictorian of his class. He has also co-authored several papers in his field. He is an attorney admitted to practice law in California.

Vijay K. Rathi, CPA, CGMA

Chief Financial Officer

Bringing more than 13 years of experience in the accounting and finance industries, Vijay joined OCR Services in March 2003. As head of Accounting, Finance, Admin, and Human Resources, Vijay plays a vital role in OCR’s operations. Since joining, Vijay has accomplished a number of significant milestones for OCR. He played a key role in attaining various financial streams for the company. In addition, Mr. Rathi helped OCR to more closely control its cost and increase the efficiency of company cash flow. Before joining OCR, Vijay has worked as Finance Manager for the Aditya Birla Group. The company, a $ 30 billion corporation, is in the League of Fortune 500’s. At Aditya Birla, Vijay set up the accounting and finance department in the United States and developed various internal control systems. Vijay is a member of AICPA, USA and ICAI, India.

He holds a CPA degree and also holds Chartered Accountant degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India

Michael Dodier

Vice President of Sales

Michael contributes over 20 years of high-tech sales experience to OCR Services. As leader of our U.S. and International sales efforts, Mr. Dodier stresses strong relationships and partners sales efforts with other company functions. Michael founded Bac-Tech Systems and produced an innovative ASP (Application Service Provider) for EDI solutions to Fortune 500 companies. In 2001, he merged with EB2B, an e-commerce supply chain software company and went on, as Executive Vice President, to create the sales organization. Michael also served as the eastern United States Sales Director at Data General, where he grew his number one sales division from $25M to $164M in revenue in just three years. As Marketing Manager for Data General's Continuing Products Division, he implemented a direct sales strategy for refurbished mini-computers that grew to annual sales in excess of $180 million.

Michael attained his marketing degree from Bryant University, and graduated from the East Coast Aero Technical School. He holds Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified Airframe and Power-Plant licenses.

Thomas Mathew

Director of Trade Compliance IT Systems

Thomas Mathew has over 22 Years of managerial and technical expertise designing enterprise web based and client server applications. At OCR he is responsible for development of new trade compliance products and services including trade license and regulatory modules, works closely with customers and development teams for business requirements, system development and client delivery.

Prior to joining OCR, Thomas was the Chief technologist at Trade Compass Inc based in Washington DC, a global trade, export compliance and logistics business with major investment from FedEx Trade Networks. Under his leadership Trade Compass delivered multiple software products for Global Trade and International Resource Center of fedex.com and worked extensively with Fortune 500 Managers, onsite and off-shore software teams in the development of core products. 

Thomas holds a Bachelors degree of Engineering in Computer Science from Bangalore University and holds multiple professional management certificates including IIMA and the Rubber Board.

Sreeni Janapati

Director of IT - Research & Development

Sreeni Janapati has over 16 years of software industry experience in secured web and client server applications. He joined OCR in 2002 and is the chief architect of OCR's Flagship web based trade compliance (EASE) solution. He is responsible for developing best practices for all phases of software life cycle. He keeps himself abreast of the latest technologies to increase security and scalability of OCR solutions. Prior to joining OCR, he worked with Aditya Birla group as a Senior IT consultant in US, UK and India and helped architect, design and develop enterprise wide applications.

Sreeni holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sri Venkateswara University, India, and is a Sun Certified Enterprise Architect.

Sudhir Bhatnagar

Director of Software Development - ERP

Sudhir brings more than 25 years of managerial and technical experience in software design and development to the OCR team. He piloted the development of several of the company’s critical EASE™ (Export Automated Software Essentials) solutions currently in place at a number of major Fortune 500 companies. In addition, Sudhir also spearheads OCR's product integration with SAP and various other ERP systems. He has extensive experience in software development and client support. Prior to joining OCR Services, Sudhir served various roles during his 25 years at Unisys Corporation; including leading the creation of leading-edge LDAP & X.500 directories, internet security, and web access control technologies. At Unisys, he also led the development of SNA networking products that are currently deployed world-wide.

Sudhir holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and a Masters in Computer Science from the City University of London.

Sanat Kumar

Director of International Operations

Mr. Sanat Kumar is a dynamic professional offering more than 21 years of demonstrated career experience in management, engineering, software architecture, and hands on development of software applications on various environments and various domains. Prior to OCR, Sanat has been consulting with major clients in the United States including, the U.S. Government, UBS Investment Banking, Visa, and Wayne Dresser. He has been involved with many startups during his career as well. At OCR he is expanding the operation to various international markets outside of USA.

Sanat holds a masters degree from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India majoring in Computers.

Eduardo Rodal

Managing Director of Single Window Trade Solutions

Eduardo Rodal joins OCR Services as a Managing Director of Single Window International Trade Solution. He Brings over 17 years of technical experience working for a multilateral organization such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Washington DC, supporting and leading the development and execution of ICT operations in 26 LAC countries, assisting the governments and private enterprises to achieve greater efficiency, effectiveness and economic growth.

Eduardo managed the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of sector project portfolio including a $40 million national government program in Trinidad & Tobago. Before, he successfully managed multiple project activities conducting business missions as a senior ICT specialist and performing assessments, technical cooperations, plan of operations and monitoring project implementation. He played an instrumental role in the creation and consolidation of his ICT division. Sectors he managed with ICT activities include: house and urban development; local development, energy efficiency, e-government, citizen security, judiciary systems, telecommunications, civil and property registries, taxation, customs, trade, management and controls systems, education and Health management. Prior to entering the IDB, he worked for the Biomedical Engineering Department at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.

Eduardo holds a M.S. degree in Telecommunications Management and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland. He published several articles about ICT and e-government; participated in numerous international events; and he is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese languages.
